About the Author
Shan Preddy is a Partner at Preddy & Co, advisers to the design sector. Preddy & Co specialises in strategic business development consultancy and in presentation, sales and negotiation skills training. Shan is already a Gower author. Her book How to Market Design Consultancy Services: Finding, Winning, Keeping and Developing Clients was first published in 1997, with a fully revised and updated Second Edition in 2004. Shan sits on the Advisory Board of the UK Design Alliance, which promotes and encourages professional skills among the design sector. She is an accredited consultant on the DBA (Design Business Association) Experts' Register, and she teaches several modules on the DBA Professional Practice programmes. Her professional memberships include the Chartered Institute of Marketing. D&AD (British Design and Art Direction) and the Institute of Directors. She is a Business Leader of the Marketing Society, and a Fellow of the RSA (Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce).
